About the Teacher
Most of the Mandarin Chinese classes scheduled below will be taught by Allan. He has 20+ years of experience in teaching Mandarin Chinese in Ottawa in a number of educational institutions including, but not limited to, DFAIT, the Canadian Forces Language School, and Elmwood School.
Allan has also been doing translations over the last 20 years. Among many translation services, he translated and then published a book for Health Canada, translated the application materials for CBC/Radio-Canada that were submitted to the Beijing Olympic games organization in 2008, and translated or proofread the website (the simplified Chinese version) and news letters of CMHC (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) in 2007 - 2016.
So far, Allan has published about 30 articles in Chinese and English journals and newspapers.
