Chinese Courses
- What courses do you offer?
Currently, we offer at least thirteen regular Chinese courses and six HSK preparation courses for Levels 1–6, while a number of customized courses are available exclusively for individuals, families, and companies.
- What kind of private lessons do you offer?
The following lessons are also available via Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet:
- Private and Semi-Private Lessons: Designed for one or two students per class. For semi-private lessons,
please arrange your own partner.
- Group lessons: Ideal if you can form a group of four or more. Group discounts are offered.
- Family lessons: Open to all family members, with special discounts available.
- Corporate lessons or workshops: We offer a variety of tailored Chinese lessons and workshops specifically for your employees, including those in marketing and sales. To save time and costs, all sessions can be conducted at your company.
- How are your Live Online lessons conducted?
Live Online lessons are primarily delivered via Microsoft Teams, with Zoom or Google Meet available as backup options. These lessons are ideal not only for individuals but also for groups of students, each using their own computer with Internet access.
- Do you have any courses for children?
Yes, we have a couple of Chinese courses for kids. Furthermore, we are also able to customize lessons in order to meet students' needs. You are welcome to form your own group, and lessons can be taught at your place or home.
- As a retiree eager to learn Chinese, am I too old to start?
The truth is, it's never too late to learn a new language. Age is just one factor, and many retirees begin their language journey each year. In fact, one of our oldest students was 80 years old when they traveled to China after taking private lessons for a year.
- Are HSK preparation courses offered?
Yes, we offer HSK preparation courses for levels 1 to 6, with group discounts available.
- Are group discounts available for university students?
Yes! If you form a group with your classmates or friends, you definitely qualify for group discounts. We also provide personalized tutoring and assistance with your Chinese assignments.
Certificates
- Can I get a Certificate of Completion?
After completing a course, you may submit a written request for a
Certificate of Completion. Certificates are issued upon request and are available only in electronic format.

- What is the best way to register?
The best way to register is to email us, as this allows us to maintain complete records.
- I have no prior exposure to Mandarin. What course should I sign up?
You're new to Mandarin, so there’s no problem. Any of our beginner courses will suit you. If you’d like to focus on speaking, choose Conversational Chinese for Beginners. If you’d also like to read and/or write Chinese characters, start with All in One Chinese for Beginners. If you prefer a broader range of topics, try the Crash Course for Beginners.
- How to choose the right course if I have previously studied Chinese?
Before enrolling, please provide us with detailed information about your learning goals and past experience with Chinese, including the name of your previous school and the textbooks you used. This will help us recommend the most suitable course for you.
Venues
- Do your teachers conduct lessons at the student's preferred location?
Yes, they do. Please be aware that additional fees may apply based on your location and parking availability. When requesting a price quote, kindly provide the nearest intersection to your home or place, along with information about parking availability.
- Do you offer corporate lessons at our company?
Yes! If you are in the Ottawa or Gatineau area, we can come to your location to provide lessons. Please email us to discuss the details.
- I live far from Ottawa and Gatineau. How can I learn the language with you?
The best option is to join our Live Online lessons via Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet.
Payment Methods
- How to make a payment through INTERAC e-Transfer?
If you use online banking, you can easily send money through it. The process is secure and quick. All you need from us is our email address. For step-by-step guidance, please refer to your bank’s website.
