iKan Chinese Language Centre (formerly Ottawa Chinese Language Learning Centre) is based in Ottawa, the capital of Canada. For over ten years, we have offered a wide range of Chinese courses designed to help both adults and children master Mandarin, the official standard language. The majority of our teachers have at least 10 years of experience teaching both Simplified and Traditional Chinese in Canada, and possess either Master's or Doctoral degrees. All of us are fluent in Mandarin (also known as Putonghua or Guoyu — the official Chinese language). Over the years, we have taught at a variety of educational institutions and training centres, including Elmwood School, Montessori School, DFAIT, and the Canadian Forces Language School. Several members of our faculty are certified teachers and currently teach Chinese in OCSB schools. Most importantly, we are dedicated to meeting your needs through our passion for teaching and effective instructional methods.

Our Courses and Lessons
We offer Chinese (Mandarin) courses for learners of all ages and proficiency levels, including both adults and children. Our classes are available in a variety of formats, including private and group sessions, and cover everything from conversational skills to written Chinese. Additionally, we are always happy to customize each lesson to suit your individual needs.
